Woman assaulted, found in ditch recovering in Calgary hospital

Calgary police have a man in custody, called the assault a 'domestic situation'

A woman is in life-threatening condition after being assaulted and found in a ditch in the northwest.

The woman was found near the Calgary Remand Centre on 85th Street. She suffered severe injuries to her face.

Calgary police say they have a man in custody and believe the assault to be a domestic situation.
